Accessibility
Our commitment to making ardmont.com usable for the widest possible audience, and how to report barriers.
Accessibility commitment
Ardmont aims to make ardmont.com usable for as many people as possible. We work toward WCAG 2.1 AA guidance for perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust content, and treat accessibility as an ongoing part of design and development.
Site navigation
Global navigation and footers are consistent across pages. A visible "Skip to main content" link appears when tabbing with a keyboard, and the site uses semantic landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) so assistive technology users can move quickly through the page.
Keyboard access
Interactive elements can be reached and operated with the keyboard. Focus states are visible. The mobile navigation can be opened with the menu button, closed with the Escape key, and returns focus to the button that opened it.
Readability and contrast
Text and interface colors are chosen for adequate contrast against their backgrounds. Content scales with browser zoom and adapts to different screen sizes without loss of functionality.
Forms and labels
Form fields include descriptive labels, sensible autocomplete tokens on personal-information fields, and error messages that are programmatically associated with their inputs. The Request a Quote form indicates required fields and provides clear feedback on successful submission.
Media and images
Meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative icons are marked so they are skipped by screen readers.
Ongoing improvements
Accessibility work is continuous. We review new templates against the same standards and welcome feedback from users of the site.
