Product Warnings and Safety Information
Important safety information for Ardmont cases, coolers, storage systems, luggage, transport containers, and accessories.
Read all product literature before use. Warnings on this page are general and do not replace model-specific instructions supplied with the product.
General product use
Use Ardmont products only for their intended purpose and within stated capacity, dimensions, and environmental limits. Read the product literature and any labels supplied with your case, cooler, or transport container before first use.
Watertight cases and pressure equalization
Watertight cases use gaskets and, on many models, an automatic pressure-equalization valve. Do not obstruct the valve. When traveling between different altitudes or temperatures, allow the case to equalize before opening to avoid seal stress or unexpected release.
Heavy loads and lifting
Do not exceed the load rating of the case, handles, wheels, or straps. Use two people to lift heavy or long cases. Keep loads centered, secure loose items, and avoid dragging cases across abrasive surfaces.
Pinch points, latches, hinges, handles, and wheels
Latches, hinges, handles, and wheels contain moving parts and pinch points. Keep fingers, hair, and clothing clear when closing lids, engaging latches, or extending handles. Inspect components regularly and replace worn parts before failure.
Coolers, cold retention, drain plugs, and dry ice
Coolers must not be used as seating unless the product literature explicitly permits it. Close the drain plug before adding contents. When using dry ice, follow the model-specific dry-ice guidance. Never seal a cooler tightly with dry ice inside where pressure could build up; use in a ventilated area and avoid direct skin contact.
Temperature exposure
Extended exposure to extreme heat, direct sunlight, or extreme cold can affect gaskets, foam, and finishes. Store cases in a cool, dry location when not in use. Do not place near open flames or high-heat sources.
Batteries and electronics
When transporting lithium-ion batteries, electronics, or medical devices, follow all applicable regulations, marking, and packing rules. Cases and foam do not substitute for compliant hazardous-goods packaging where required.
Children and storage safety
Keep cases and coolers, including any packaging materials, out of reach of children. Do not allow children to climb into or play inside cases. Store cases with lids ajar when empty to avoid entrapment risk.
Modifications and repairs
Unauthorized modification of shells, latches, hinges, wheels, or gaskets may compromise performance and can void warranty. Use only genuine Ardmont replacement parts. For repair guidance, contact contact@ardmont.com.
Controlled equipment transport
For firearms, ammunition, controlled substances, medical devices, or other regulated items, users are responsible for complying with applicable transport, storage, and licensing regulations in the origin, transit, and destination jurisdictions.
